You are receiving this email because you are in our Wine Club We're getting a lot of calls and inquiries about what is happening at the winery and what we can and cannot do.  As of Friday the 12th we have begun Stage 3 of the reopening of California.  What that meant was we are allowed to offer wine tastings without the purchase of food (we were already offering wine club benefit glasses of wine and continue to).  There's some restrictive requirements to wine tastings, so we've opted to not start until Wednesday the 17th.  Each taste will be poured into a new disposable cup which you will then pour into your wine glass.  You will then return to your seat since we do not have the bar space to maintain 6' distancing while wine tasting.  We have 1/3 of our regular seating available so very limited seating.

1. Advance reservations are required so use Open Table, all tables and Adirondacks are reserved except for those patio tables that we cannot use because of 6' distancing.

2. Show up on time for your reservation or cancel if you can't make it

3. Leave at the end of your 90 minute reservation

4. Wear optional face covering if you want. My staff will be wearing theirs'.

Back to the news:  Dine in and wine glass/bottles with or without food is now available, and we have extended our hours to be open daily 11-6p.  Reservations are required as our seating is very limited to maintain the required 6' distancing between groups.  Best option is to use Open Table or secondly email deli@cougarvineyards.com with # people, name, preferred date/time, phone number, preferred inside/outside.  We can still do bottle sales, wine club pick-up and take out.  Reservations are limited to 90 minutes.  We can not have entertainment so no live music for now.

Did you know that there was a positive that came out of the basic shut down besides cleaning and sanitizing?  We were able to bottle some amazing wines from a completely crazy 2019 harvest so maybe we won't run out of your favorite wines like usual!

Thank you so much for weathering this pandemic with us!  It's been a quiet couple of months at Cougar, and we're glad to welcome you all back in a safe and healthy way!

Good news to share with our wonderful wine club family!  First of all I hope that this email finds you all healthy and happy!!

Yesterday Riverside County was approved for advanced Stage 2 guidelines which includes Dine In for restaurants again.  We are very thankful to have Sangio's Deli and have not been able to do Dine In since March 19th.  It seems like a year ago!

Please understand that we are reopening the safest and most compliant way possible. We will keep you posted on the changes we’re making to ensure responsible social distancing.

To open as a dine-in restaurant, per county guidelines, alcohol can only be sold in the same transaction as a meal. We are unable to serve tastings at this time. Members may use their complimentary glass of wine along with the purchase of a meal or purchase wine with your wine club discount.

Tables are set up 6 feet apart and require advance reservations. Seating will be available outside on our patio and in the tasting room. Please remain with your own party and do not move the tables to respect the social distancing guidelines. Make your reservations days in advance so you can plan your trip knowing that you'll be seated.  Remember that wonderful view?

Sanitization stations are located throughout the tasting room. Our team will remain working with face coverings, and taking all precautions to keep areas clean and sanitized between each group's visit.  All tables are only available through a reservation.  Cougar has been converted into a restaurant (for now)!!
