Safety Protocols and Procedures

Cougar has taken the Safer Together PledgeUPDATE 9/22/20 We are open for 25% indoor seating!  Riverside made it to the red phase so since we have a deli we can offer indoor as well as outdoor seating.

UPDATE 7/1/20 Indoor dining and wine tasting will cease for at least 3 weeks.  Outdoor will be open for all.  This means our seating is even more limited and reservations are a must.  We will be enforcing the 90 minute reservation, so please work with us on this.  We will be doing our best to contact all future reservations indoors to move them outside then it will not be possible to make reservations indoors until the county allows indoor activities again.

In addition to following all CDC recommended guidelines we have also implemented the following:
• Employees are required to wear face coverings, wash hands frequently and do employee self-checks daily.
• Capacity on property has been reduced and we are limiting groups to 6 or less.
• Sanitization stations are located throughout the property for your use.

As a guest, please be respectful of the following rules:
• Face coverings are REQUIRED when entering and moving about the property.
• Social distancing will be strictly enforced.
• Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

We appreciate your support and will continue to be diligent and transparent. Please watch our social media and website for up to date information as we move through these challenging times.

UPDATE 6/21/20 Hours of operation 11-6p Daily.  ADVANCE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED

We're now on Open Table for your 90 minute reservations!

In-between each seated reservation we are sanitizing tables and chairs so please do not sit where you are not reserved and if you do please let us know so we can sanitize it again.  Our floors are marked so you can maintain 6' social distancing.  Hands-free and pump hand sanitizers are throughout the tasting room.  Pens, credit card machines, signature pads and other similar items are sanitized before and after each use.  Employees are asked to stay home if not feeling well and we check their temperatures when they start their shifts.  Only 5 patio tables are in use due to social distancing.  Adirondack chairs remain locked, are 100% under reservation and we manage empty ones for social distancing between groups.  When you arrive check in, we will do our best to take walk-ins but the risk is we'll be booked up.  We are at 30% capacity of pre-covid.

Open for dine-in and also glasses/bottles without food.  Wine tasting is approved and will be poured at the bar but tasted back at your table to follow the guide lines plus social distancing.  Tastes and extra glasses of wine are poured into a new disposable glass thrown away each pour.  No groups greater than 6 people.

Content of email sent out to all Will Call, Ship to and on-hold members 6/14/20:

You are receiving this email because you are in our Wine Club We're getting a lot of calls and inquiries about what is happening at the winery and what we can and cannot do.  As of Friday the 12th we have begun Stage 3 of the reopening of California.  What that meant was we are allowed to offer wine tastings without the purchase of food (we were already offering wine club benefit glasses of wine and continue to).  There's some restrictive requirements to wine tastings, so we've opted to not start until Wednesday the 17th.  Each taste will be poured into a new disposable cup which you will then pour into your wine glass.  You will then return to your seat since we do not have the bar space to maintain 6' distancing while wine tasting.  We have 1/3 of our regular seating available so very limited seating.

Rick, Jennifer, and our heavenly fur babiesSo what can you do to help?

1. Advance reservations are required so use Open Table, all tables and Adirondacks are reserved except for those patio tables that we cannot use because of 6' distancing.

2. Show up on time for your reservation or cancel if you can't make it

3. Leave at the end of your 90 minute reservation

4. Wear optional face covering if you want. My staff will be wearing theirs'.

Commercial break:  Picture to the right is just sentimental for you (me) to enjoy :)  Yes that is Monte as a puppy on the table and Mocha looking like the princess she was!

Back to the news:  Dine in and wine glass/bottles with or without food is now available, and we have extended our hours to be open daily 11-6p.  Reservations are required as our seating is very limited to maintain the required 6' distancing between groups.  Best option is to use Open Table or secondly email with # people, name, preferred date/time, phone number, preferred inside/outside.  We can still do bottle sales, wine club pick-up and take out.  Reservations are limited to 90 minutes.  We can not have entertainment so no live music for now.
